Sunrise Day Lodge & Visitor Center
Located at the end of Sunrise Road, this
center offers displays, naturalist-led walks, and programs on Mount
Rainier's subalpine ecology and alpine life zones. Mounted telescopes
let you get a close-up look of the mountain's slopes and glaciers.

Longmire Wilderness
Information Center and White River Wilderness Information Center
These centers offer trail information and
backcountry permits.

JThe Longmire Museum, near the Longmire Wilderness Information Center,
is one of the National Park Service's oldest operating interpretive museums.
Open daily, it has exhibits on the park's natural and human history and
NPS history. Next to the museum is a new transportation exhibit. |
